At VOE, we believe that empowerment is a community effort. Through collaboration with local organizations, businesses, and volunteers, we are able to amplify our impact and reach even more young people in need. Together, we are building a stronger, more resilient community where every youth has the opportunity to succeed. Their unwavering support has been instrumental in our efforts to provide educational and developmental opportunities to the youth in our community.
Village of Empowerment (VOE) understands that collaboration with local churches and schools is essential in creating a meaningful social impact within our community. By partnering with churches and schools, VOE is able to extend its reach and provide even more comprehensive support to children and teens. Through these partnerships, VOE works closely with educators, clergy members, and community leaders to identify and address the unique needs of young individuals. Together, we strive to create a supportive environment where children and teens can thrive academically, emotionally, and spiritually. Whether it's through after-school programs, tutoring services, or community events, VOE and its partners are committed to ensuring that every child and teen has the opportunity to have a positive and enriching experience, both within the classroom and beyond. Thanks to
our community partners:
The Village United Methodist Church began as the "South Campus," a ministry of St. Luke Community United Methodist Church. Worship began in the home of Don and Cecilia Edwards in Desoto, TX, in January of 2010. As the congregation grew, worship services moved to the First United Methodist Church in Cedar Hill until relocating to the storefront at 1615 N. Hampton Road.
Children On The Mend Inc.. (COTM), a non-profit 501(c)3 was launched in 2000 as an intervention/prevention advocacy and mentoring agency for youth and young adults. Our board is composed of diverse backgrounds with thirty plus years of legal, criminal justice, and social service backgrounds.
